Privacy notice for our online courses

This notice explains how CareerPro UK ("we") uses your personal information when you sign up for our online CPD courses, take a quiz or buy a certificate. CareerPro UK is the data controller. Contact us at cvreviewexperts@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Sign-up details: your first and last name, email address, whether you work in the UK or outside it, which course you started, and whether you agreed to receive marketing emails.
- Certificates: the name you want on your certificate, the course, your score and the date. These are written into the certificate's verification link; we do not keep a separate database of them.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We never see your full card details. Stripe tells us the payment status and keeps its own payment records.
- Course progress (slides seen, quiz answers, reflection notes) is stored only in your own browser on your device.
Why we use it
- To give you access to the courses, issue and verify certificates, and take payment — this is necessary to provide the service you asked for.
- To understand who uses our courses and to improve them, and to contact you about your course or certificate — our legitimate interests.
- To send you news about NHS jobs, courses and career support — only if you ticked the box to agree. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by emailing us.
Who we share it with
We use trusted providers to run the service: Wix (our website and contact list, where sign-ups are stored), Stripe (payments) and Render (website hosting, including short-term server logs). They process data on our instructions and protect it under data protection law. Some of these providers may store data outside the UK, with appropriate safeguards. We do not sell your information.
How long we keep it
We keep sign-up details for as long as you are using our services and for up to 3 years after your last contact with us, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Payment records are kept for as long as the law requires (usually 6 years).
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent to marketing at any time. Email cvreviewexperts@gmail.com. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
